About Us
This Web site is for you! Let me be one of the first to welcome you. As the project director of this 3-year federally funded project, a collaborative effort among the talented faculty and staff of the nursing programs at Duke University, Western Carolina University and University of North Carolina-Charlotte, we will be providing a site for CEU online modules on teaching technologies, as well as modules on diverse topics such as intraprofessional communication and patient safety.
Most of all we want you to use this site - whether for gaining CEU’s or for helping nurse educators find and use innovative nursing education technologies. If you have found a useful technology or teaching tool, please submit it, tell us about how you use it, and encourage your colleagues to do the same. With your help, this site will be a good place to share teaching strategies, pick up tips, and learn from others!
Barbara S. Turner RN, DNSc, FAAN
Project Director, Duke University
Hi, I am Dr. Linda Comer. On behalf of the faculty and staff at Western Carolina University, I would like to welcome you to this site and the Innovative Nursing Education Technology program.
This Web site provides a portal to you for sharing technologies and collaborating with other nurse educators around the country. The iNET program will serve as a demonstration project for integrating emerging technologies into nursing education programs. Many resources, shared technologies, and teaching tools on this site (training modules, tutorials, and continuing education credit) will be beneficial to you and your programs. Our WCU School of Nursing faculty, along with those from Duke and UNC-Charlotte, welcome you and invite you to participate in building this nursing education resource.
